International Law
We advise governments, individuals and NGOs on the most serious matters in international law.
IHR-Advisors believe in a robust, analytical approach in defending the rights of individuals, whatever the allegation and wherever the jurisdiction. We are intimately familiar with international courts and tribunals in the Hague, the United Nations, European Court of Human Rights, International Court of Justice, and African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights as well as in country representation and consultancy services.
We provide legal advice and representation in all matters of international law and related fields. We provide advice on litigation strategy in complex international disputes, working with teams of lawyers and experts.
Case Study
IHR-Advisors was approached by a leading human rights NGO to represent a refugee who had been kidnapped and tortured by military officials. Acting on a pro bono basis, we made submissions on his behalf to the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights seeking redress. Our client had developed critical health conditions and we also appealed the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for resettlement in order for him to access emergency hospital treatment.
